パラオのOceania TVのニュース。
レメンゲサウ大統領が提案している海洋保護区が未だに議会で保留されているとの事。
パラオ憲法には入漁料の事が述べられており、海洋保護区案は憲法改正が必要と、同案に反対する一人でFFAディレクターもつとめたTalobak Victorio Uherbelau氏がアンガウル州、カヤンゲル州と共に意見書を提出。
現在大統領府で回答を準備中とのこと。
これが憲法の条文
Article XII, Section 6(c)
(c) All revenues derived from licensing foreign vessels to fish for highly migratory fish within the jurisdictional waters of Palau shall be divided equitably between the national government and all the state governments as determined by the Olbiil Era Kelulau.

でもこのセレブたち、魚の事も海の事も、安全保障体制も、そして肝腎のパラオの事を知らないし、なんの具体的支援をするわけではない。
パラオの人は現実を知っている。多分大統領も気付いている、と思います。
