オバマ政権のケリー長官（とPEW）の主導で開始したOur Ocean.
（性懲りも無く）今年はマルタでEUの支援を受け、10月５−６日に開催された。
キーノートは、デカプリオではなく英国のチャールズ皇太子である。
勿論我らがレメンゲサウ大統領も参加されている。
チャールズ皇太子、当たり障りのない事を述べているが、気になったのがチャールズ皇太子が上げたNGOや学者の名前。

Dr. Enric Salaはなんとパラオの海洋保護区始め、メガ海洋保護区支持者でTEDなどにも出て来ている。（TEDに出てくる環境専門家は胡散臭いのが多い！）
Dr. Enric Salaが今年出したパラオの海洋保護区を支持するペーパーがあった。

このOur Ocean には法律家のK. M. Gjerdeも参加。公海のMPAを推進する立場の方だ。
彼女のスピーチは見当たらなかったが、最近のコメントが下記の記事にあった。海底資源開発は生物の多様性を失う恐れがある、という論調。
Gjerdeの主張は少し追ってみたい。国際法学者としての、またIUCNのアドバイザーか何かになっている彼女の意見は重要ではないか、と思うからだ。
