Japanese Imperial Family and Pacific Islands

The announcement of our Prime Minister's office on our Emperor and Empress possible visit to Palau in next year was special news for us. I believe that there are lots of special feeling between Japan and Micronesia.

While I realised that our Imperial family has special attention to Pacific Islands for a many decades actually since 19c, such as King Kalakaua suggested marriage with our Imperial family for avoid european invasion.

I found the list of audience to our Emperor and Empress in their official web site and pick up Pacific Countries then total up numbers of audience by country.

Number tell us.

Three Micronesia countries' head had an audience to our Emperor and Empress, every two years. Next is Kiribati and Vanuatu, every four years.
