まず目にしたのが、漁獲制限の煽りを受けて閉鎖を決定した米領サモアの缶詰工場の関連ニュース。

サンディエゴにあるAmerican Tunaboat Association (ATA) がもっと魚を穫らせろ！とWCPFC総会にオブザーバー参加するとのこと。
で、そのWCPFCのNGO 参加リストがすごい。44も参加。
いつもこんなに参加するのであろうか？
（過去の数字ありました。2015年41、2014年35、2013年30、2012年25）
ここにはアンチ漁業とプロ漁業、その中間と色々混ざっているように思うが当方には分けきれない。
日本関係ではUS-Japan Research Institute (USJI)（日米研究インスティテュート）という九州大学、京都大学、慶應義塾大学、上智大学、筑波大学、東京大学、同志社大学、立命館大学、早稲田大学が連携した米国NPO法人が参加。

さらにこのNGO参加の正当性について議論したペーパーもこのWCPFCに提出されている。こんなに増えたらきっと問題になっているのだろう。WCPFCメンバーの26より多い。
