２月に行われた公聴会がハリス司令官の最後かと思っていたが３月15日にSenate Armed Services Committee の公聴会が行われ、映像がウェッブに上がっていた。

昨晩ざーっと聞いたが、中国、中国、中国、と中国に対する懸念で太平洋司令軍、議会完璧に一致している。
特にハリス司令官が今度赴任する豪州の対中国対応。そして最近中国が発表した北極シルクロード政策に米国として大きな懸念を示している箇所が気になった。
もう一カ所、中国の一帯一路構想と米国のマーシャルプランが比較され、ハリス司令官が、前者は中国を支援するもの、後者は慈善の精神で戦後の欧州を支援するもの、とその違いを明確に述べている。
"But the difference is the Marshall Plan was philanthropic in nature, and was designed to lift up the countries in Europe following World War II. And One Belt One Road is designed to lift up China,"
北極、南極資源の話。
中国の学者は、世界の５分の一の人口を占める中国はこれらの資源を確保する資格がある，と言っているそうだ
"You know, why would a country have that kind of capability if it has no border on the Arctic or Antarctic? Because they're interested in the resources that are there. Because they've called that out and named it the Polar Silk Road," Harris said.
もう一度聞きたい。
日本のメディアや安保、米国専門家は２月の公聴会同様殆どタッチしていなかシャローすぎるでは？と心配だ。
