現在豪州の外交白書が作成中で、今年中に発表されるらしい。
下記のビショップ外相によればパブリックコメントは２月末に閉め切られたようだ。
残念！ 知っていたら出したのに。
この白書に向けて、ASPI(Australia Strategic Policy Institute) のGraeme Dobell氏が３回に渡って「豪州、アジアへの大きな賭け」（意訳）という記事を書いている。

ポイントは下記の５点で、日本との関係強化が一番目なのである。
そしてアセアン、インドネシア、インド洋への賭け。
最後は中国だが、中国に馬鹿にされるな、豪州は中国に対しイエスとノーをはっきり言える様に、と厳しい。そんなに豪州、馬鹿にされているのだろうか？

2. Support ASEAN by seeking membership of the Association for Australia and New Zealand
3. Align Australia’s Asia policy interests with Indonesia
4. Seek strategic convergence with India, building shared interests in the Indo-Pacific

ASPIは、他の豪州の論調に比べると（例えばLowy）親日（豪米関係を重視）路線。政府への影響は大きい。ASPIのトップPeter Jennings（元国防省次官） が３月末、日本に来ていたようで、Dobell氏以上に日豪の関係強化について語っている。
